While my focus is primarily the interiors' portion of the home, a favorite way for me to spend the day - especially after long, rainy periods - is to head to the great outdoors, and preferably, a local garden spot or center. I found a hidden treasure, near Monroe, NC and it is the Golden Leaf Nursery. Not only were the beautiful surroundings inviting, (a pond, arbor area, coffee shop & garden/gift shop, etc.), but the folks who were buzzing around, really rolled out the welcome mat! I received a nice little tour and found out all about what would be arriving, when to come back for the latest plantings and they were just all around, nice folks. I came away with several goodies and enough things to freshen up some tired, winter beds.If you are like me, you just like to meander through one of these peaceful places, without a lot of chatter. I'll let you stroll through the photos and enjoy! Soon, I'll be heading back out. I hear the beckoning of Mother Nature, in the background!
