Home of Artist Cassandra Shaw

Last night we had dinner in Redmond with jewelry designer and artist Cassandra Shaw and her husband. They live half the year in Puerto Vallarta where her gallery is located.

She is quite famous there for her paintings of chickens. This one (above) is from her website. There are some she paints over and over because they sell so well and everyone that buys one says theirs is the best one (of course).

I really liked this one on the yellow wall in her kitchen!

It was almost dark when we arrived last night so we had a quick tour of the 4 acre farm.

Some live chicken inspiration :)

Here are her amazing bean poles, where's Jack when you need him?
I liked this photo even though it's dark. . . it feels very fall like.

We got a little peak of her studio with paintings in progress.

She gets her inspiration from a book called Extraordinary Chickens. I had to photograph this one, I've never seen such a fluffy chicken!

Some salt & pepper shakers at our dinner table, so cute!

Loved this one sitting on the china cabinet!

And here is another painting in her dining room. I've never seen such an amazing collection of all kinds of different chickens in every shape and size all throughout the house. Usually you just see them in kitchens.

Do you have a chicken in your kitchen?

ps. Stay tuned, I'm going to post about my shopping trip in Seattle with my favourite fashion stylist, Angie from You Look Fab!
